How to paint with copic

My daughter likes to read manga and also to draw it.

One of her freinds lended a book which teaches how to paint.

Copic markers have over 300 colors, replaceable nibs, and  refillable inks.

It is a must item for person who draws manga. 



This book explains from a foundations technique to the advanced coloring method.

I hope her art get better.





Lunch

I went to a restraunt with my friend at lunch time.

Special menu at lunch time is pizza and pasta and salad.

Only pizza is all you can eat and we can choose pasta we like.

Price is 1029yen including tax.

Almost seat was ocupied.

And waitress who wears old japanese kimono serves at this restaurant.

Marathon boom

Marathon is boom in Japan.

Some persons jog for health and some for challenge.

So a lot of marathon conventions are held at many places.

My husband also loves marathon and participated in
a half marathon convention a few days ago.

His time was 1 hour and 47minutes.

Mt. Fuji

There are five lakes in the foot in Mt. Fuji.

I went one of them,  Lake Yamanaka and took the board
to carry out lake 1 round.

This is taken  on the board.

We could see Mt. Fuji in front of us.

Every one took pictures because it was very beautiful.  

K-On! Card Holder

K-On! is a Japanese popular manga.
The story is about four Japanese high school girls who try to save high school's light music club from being disbanded,

My husband and daughter love it.

They are card holders which is presented to people who buy chocolate at a convinience store.
This campaign was so good that these presents run out stock soon.

Next my husband will buy K-on! Blu-ray limited edition.

Tokyo Skytree

Tokyo Skytree which is the tallest tower in the world finally has opened.
Its height is 634m.
Those who drew a lucky number could go to observation deck for the first day.
There were many students among people in observation deck.
They must be absent from school.

For a while those who made a reservation in advance can go to observation deck.
I want to go there some day in the future.

I have watched gold ring solar eclipse

It was cloudy.
But we could watch gold ring around 7;30.

My daughter and I stayed at home.
She tried to go out from home and watch it.
I tried to stop her but I couldn't resist watching it also.
After all we looked up to sky together and watched it.
It was very beautiful.

Gold Ring Solar Eclipse

Tomorrow morning we might be able to see gold ring solar eclipse which is visible to a form like a ring.
In Tokyo it is the first time in 173 years old.
To see it, we need to wear special glasses.
It is said that we mustn't see the sun to the naked eyes.
So I went to buy special glasses for solar eclipse but it has already sold out.
It will become cloudy followed by rain tomorrow.
It is less possibility that we can see it.

Break in the weather

Today I went to my daughter's high school to attend PTA meeting.
When I left in the morning, it was fine.
When I was coming back after the meeting finished, the sky was cloudy.
And the lighting suddenly flashed.
Sky was black and  it rained heavily.
I went to the station in a hurry during heavy rain.
I got soaking wet although  I held an umbrella.
When I arrived at the staion, rain stopped and  it cleared.
Today it was not my day.

The popular diet method in Japan

One of the popular diet method is curvy dance.

The dancer in video is around 45 years old.

She looks much younger than actual age.

My freind succeedrd to lose 3kg weight in one month.

She says this dance is not so hard and fun.

That's why she is going on exercise.

Midterm examination

Mostly Japanese schools are 3 term systems.
Some are 2 term sytems.
In the school of 3 term system, midterm examination starts soon.
My daughter will start midterm examination on May 20nd.
She has already began to study for it.
She always study at cafe in the shopping mall.
Because there are a lot of mangas in her room which interefere with study.
A subject good at her is mathematics and  a subject poor at her is national language.
Recently many students study at cafe.
When I was student, many students used to study at library.
The time changed. 

Japanese traditional cook nikujaga

I cooked Japanese traditional nikujaga for dinner today.

It's simmered potatoes and meat as niku means meat and jaga means potatoes in Japanese.

Potetoes are softened and very tasty.  

Every member of family likes nikujaga.  

I placed it in a royal copenhagen bowl.

It is good, Don't you think so?



Tokyo Disney Sea

Japanese young girls and children love Daffy and Sherry May very much.

Special events in which they appear are very popular.

Though there are three special events, we have to wait in line to watch every event.

Daffy goods like plush doll or key chain sell very well. 

Those who love daffy and sherry may bring thier own daffys or daffy's girl friend sherry mays along in Disney Sea.

Some wear very cute costume.

One Piece Exhibition

ONE PIECE has been serialized for 15 years at week magazine "Syonen Jump".
In commemoration of  it, its exhibition is being held in Roppongi in Tokyo.

Art works or real size figure or original  drawing and so on are displyed.
ONE PIECE is on air on every Sunday at 9:30.
My daughter gets up around 9 o'clock not to miss that program.
She especially likes Chopper.  

Japanese sweets Kashiwamoti

Today I ate kashiwamoti.

We have a custom to eat kashiwamoti at the Boy's Festival (May 5th)
This sweets is wrapped with leaf of kashiwa.
This leaf can't be eaten.
There are sweet bean paste in Kashiwamoti.
It is very sweet and  taste good.
And it is healthy than cake.　

Constitution Memorial Day

Today is Constitution Memorial Day that is a national holiday in Japan.
And it is in the middle of large consecutive holiday called Golden Week.
Some go on a journey and some indulge in leisurely pursuits.
For me it is as usual except late riser.

Aerosmith T shirt

Last November Aerosmith came to Japan.
As I wanted to hear thier song "I don't want to miss a thing",
I went to concert with my husband.
Our seat wasn't so good so I couldn't see him well.
But his perfomance was very powerful although he was almost 60.
My husband bought this T shirt as a memory.


It is getting warm in Japan.
T shirt is must item from now on.

Starbucks pop lemon cheese cake

My husaband and I go to starbucks after lunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
My husband always order street chai tea and something sweet.
I always order cafe amerikano and also something sweet.
Today I ate pop lemon cheese cake.

A peice is 200 yen.
Two is 390yen.
It is petit size and about 100 calories and taste is good.
I recommend it.

Zaku Tofu

Mobile Suit Gundam is one of most popular anime in Japan.
Zaku tofu is one which is based on Zaku, enemy of Gundam.

It seems to sell very well at grocery store
It is popular among Gumdam fan and old people or children.
It tastes green soybean.
Tofu is very healthy food and I like it.
When I find Zakutofu, I will buy and get a taste of it.

My relaxation time

One of my relaxation time is to watch movie recorded fee-TV at lunch time on week day.
I can watch it alone without being disturbed.
Today I watched SHUTTER ISLAND in which Leonardo DiCaprio plays leading part.
He comes an island to find a missing lady who go into mental clinic as marshal.
It has a surprise ending that he is not marsal, he is patient.
I think it is an interesting movie.  

Hobby Show

Japan Hobby Show is in session from April 26th to April 28th. in Tokyo Big Site.
This is the biggest handmade show in Japan and you can have a chance to present your products.

There are a lot of "KAWAII" items.
We love "KAWAII"

Eureka Seven AO

Recently My daughter's favorite anime is Eureka Seven AO which is on air on Saturday.
The TV program starts 2:00 am.
It is midnight.
She try to record but often forgot to do.
Who could watch TV at such a late time?
