ALL YOU CAN EAT

I went to hotel in Makuhari where it took 15 minutes by car from my place for lunch. with members who study English in Church and teacher.
Teacher is an American male whose age is around 45.
The number of member is 6 and all women whose age are around 60.
Maybe I am the youngest among them.
But they are studying English hard.
I am also studying it harder than when I was university student.
If I studied harder at university days, I would have got a wonderful job and better life.
Lunch is "ALL YOU CAN EAT" includes dessert.
There are many kinds of food and dessert.
I couldn't eat all kinds and didn't eat worth for 2000yen.
But restaurant has nice view and service.
We enjoyed talking so I'm satisfied with it substantially.       
 

Rose Garden

I went to Rose Garden with my friend.
It is city-run garden and takes about 30 minutes by foot from our places.
My friend lives near my house.
We became to friends through our children.
Our children used to attend same elementary school and junior high school.
Roses are the most admirable to look at this time of the year.
So many people, mostly women, came to look at them.
The Rose Garden is not so big although there are many kinds of roses.
Thirty minutes is enough for us to look at.
After we rode the entire loop, we sat down a bench and enjoy talking.
Topics of conversation are always our children and husbands.
We talked about their displeasure and work off our frustration.

Backache

I have had a backache since yesterday.
Maybe I twisted my waist when I moved a shelf.
The shelf wasn't so heavy.
I can't stand up straight.
My loin is bent and it looks as if I were an old woman.
The moment I felt backache so badly is one I change the movement.
For instance when I stand up from a sitting posture, I feet hard painful.
I can manage to go shopping dairy wants or food stuff.
I want to lay down whole day.
But there aren't no rooms I lay down in my house during the day because there are men at work.

  
 

Renovation

My house was a little damage from March 11th earthquake.
Bookshelf fell down and a few plate wares came out of cupboard and dropped to the floor.
Some were broken.
The worst damage was wallpaper.
Several parts of it tore.
It is dirty-looking.
I had to have it repaired.
At the same time, I decided to change Japanese style room into a room with flooring and wallpaper.
Because I want to throw out two big drawers in that room.
It is dangerous to sleep in the room with big furniture.
I was very frightened after March 11th shock.
So renovation started on Monday this week.
I can't spent time leisurely now.

My English Class

My English who is American came back.
He went back to America on March due to nuclear problem which March 11th earthquake caused.
Many foreigners went back suddenly at that time.
I thought my teacher won't come back although he had a few jobs.
Nuclear power plants still emit radioactivity and it will take long time to solve the problem.
I haven't studied English because of no class.
I am going to practice English to talk fluently from now on.

A movie brings back memories

I watched movie "Yatsuhakamura" on TV.
It was based on famous novel (maybe young people don't know) and was released on 1981.
I watched preview with my friend.
It was so crowded that we couldn't find seats.
For the first time we stood and after that we went down corridor bulkhead.
I don't remember the story but I remember the clothes I wore and  atmosphere in the theater and so on.
The leading actor was Kenichi Hagihara whom I liked very much at that time.  
I was 19 years old and a prep school student.
This movie reminds me of those days.
I was full of hopes and I believed the future must be wonderful.
My parents were young and healthy.
I wish I could back those days.

Homebakery

I got cooking equipment which can bake bread recently.
We call it homebakery.
My husband has many chances to board a plane on business.
So he amasses points which is issued by airline or JAL.
When points reach some amount, we can exchange it for goods.
He chose homebakery  without asking me.
I don't want it.
Because I'm very busy so I don't want to do extra family affairs.
But I had no choice so I began to use it.
It has various menu.
The menu I always use is the most simple one.
I gauge ingredient such flour, butter, dry yeast and put them into
the pod and turn on switch.
That's all.
Square type bread comes out.
The taste is rather good.
When I do is very easy, but I feel that trouble me so much.  

Lunch

Two of my friends I have been since my school days live near area.
We meet and have lunch and enjoy talking every 2 or 3 months.
Every time we  go to different restaurant.

Today we went to a restaurant near Tokyo Station.
Lunch is ALL YOU CAN EAT and includes dessert and with live music.
The price was 1300yen.
I think it is reasonable one.
We always get excited about talking and eating.
One of my friends didn't notice a  woman play the piano there.
I always feel as if we were university students every time I meet them.

Time goes by very fast.

Gym visit

I visit the gym on Saturdays and Sundays.
My husband does too.
I usually walk for one hour.
After that I exercise for muscle strength by machine.
The reason I visit the gym is to lose my weight and stay in good health.
Many middle-aged people come to the gym I attend.
The aim for them maybe is the same of me.
But there are few people who are slim figure.
I also don't lose my weight.
It's too bad.

Tokyo Disney Land Reopen

Tokyo Disney Land started again for the first time in around one month because of the large eastern earthquake.

For the time being, it closes at 6 o'clock to reduce power consumption and some attractions remain out of action for repairs.

For all the faults many people made a long line before opening.

My daughter is a enthusiastic fan of Disney.
She will go there at the end of April or at the beginning of May.
She visits website of Disney and checks Disney new goods and new show parade.

In Japan it is fashion among young girls to their Disney bear or Duffy.
Especially it is good to wear clothes.

She has 6 Disney bears.
Some of them were imported from United States.  
She is thinking which bear she takes with.

I can't understand why they go to Disney Land with plush doll.

Earthquake

A several large aftershocks have occurred since a few past days.
A few aftershocks registered 4 on the Japanese scale.
I was in the living room in my house.
TV rocked back and forth and cupboard chattered as if they fell down.
I always flee for safety under the table or corridor.
Some say that they get the feel for shock, but I never do.
I am always afraid of even small shock.

Cherry Blossoms

Cherry Blossoms are full bloom now in Japan.
Every year we go on a cherry viewing picnic and eat and drink under cherry blossoms.
We call it hanami  and it is well known for foreign people.
My Italian friend says that he want to to to Japan to enjoy hanami.
On the other hands my American friend says he can't understand why we go on a cherry  viewing.
He says that cherry blossoms are very beautiful but other flowers are as well.
In a sense, what he says is true.
But this year we use moderation in hanami.
Because large earthquake hit east Japan and caused serious damages last month.
I hope Japan recover from disasters as soon as possible and next year hanami will be held everywhere in Japan. 
    

High school entrance ceremony

Today was high school entrance ceremony of my daughter.
Ceremony starts qt 10:00.
For the first time, all new students and their parents and teachers sang national anthem "Kimigayo", and next all new students sang school song.
Then principal gave a speech at a ceremony and board chairman and guests of honor did.
At last one of new students took oath.
It was traditional entrance ceremony in Japan.
It was held at gymnastic hall.
I found there were many fathers there.
Before those who attend at entrance ceremony were mother.
I think it is good that father is involved in education.

This is my daughter who wears new uniform.
